to 6pm (1 hour for lunch)
Instructor: Neurosomatic Educators (see bio)
For
several decades, Paul St. John and his colleagues have been studying
posture; how the components of the human body affect posture, and how
posture reflects the function of those components. This developing area
has come to be known as Posturology, the science of human balance in
every physiological condition. Research from Europe dating back to the
days of Galileo to the present is included, along with Paul St. John’s
extensive research, in this exciting new direction in pain relief therapy.
In Posturology 101, our certified instructor will guide you through the
centuries from the earliest recorded studies of posture and imbalance
to his most recent findings in his practice. He will share areas of pain
causing dysfunctions that create imbalance. This application is the primary
component in Integrative Neurosomatic Therapy.
Our goal is to have you leave the course competent in the basic concepts
and enlighten you on the importance of being able to measure and document
posture accurately. Several examples of postural distortions will be
given with their causes and subsequent treatment methods to allow you
to understand the impact of this exciting new area of study. As an Integrative
Neurosomatic Therapist your capacity to help patients in pain starts
with your ability to measure, document, and interpret posture. This course
is the first step in the journey to helping your clients heal fully.
Posturology 101 is a prerequisite for Integrative Neurosomatic Therapist
