Welcome to the Massage Institute of Maryland, Inc., founded in 1999 by Dr. Michael Slater Kaplan, M.D., Ph.D. Our mission is to promote knowledge and practical skills of Massage Therapy, leading towards professional certification of highly skilled practitioners. Each course at the Massage Institute adheres to the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork's (NCBTMB) philosophy and definition of continuing education. Interested students who meet the admission and enrollment requirements may begin the admissions process. MIM also offers a wide variety of other Continuing Education Classes taught by qualified local and national instructors.
